It really bothers me that some
people just fish for their egos.
Hooking beautiful fish for their
family room wall.
When we were kids the rule was
"You catch it, you eat it"

  1. I agree with that. They shouldn't be used as trophies.

    Hope you're having a nice weekend. ☺

  4. My kids either eat it themselves or feed it to the bird that waits for hand outs. Someone gets fed.

  5. I love the idea behind the sport of fly fishing. When you catch a fish you kiss it on the mouth and release it back into the river. This really appeals to me.

  6. My dad has always been a fisherman, and he's always taught me to only catch what I'll eat. Although I don't like fishing or eating fish, so I just smile and nod.

Best of luck with the A to Z challenge,

  7. Hi,
That's my husband, Floyd with the rod in his teeth, gently holding the fish he caught in New Zealand. That fish was quickly released after the photo was shot. While we agree with you guys regarding trophy hunting fish, or anything else. We are mainly catch and release wild fish believers. That is so that the fish can go forth and make more healthy genetically diverse fish. The wild fish population is becoming depleted. However, the hatchery trout population should all be caught and eaten. You can tell the difference by looking. Yum!

I tried to comment on your dill pickles too but I couldn't so "one jar please" is for that post.

Only fish what you need makes perfect sense.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
